Dear Pastor and Friends,
"The fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much." James 5:16 How thankful I am for all those who have been praying for me and my family. How thank I am for friends that stick closer than a brother. You are probably wondering how is he doing? I’m doing well considering all that has happened. I have a lot more work to do like cleaning the house and cooking, which has not always been my cup of tea; but we are learning!
The furlough trail has turned out to be a good thing for me. My Dad traveled to South Carolina with me, spending a lot of time talking about the things of the Lord, hearing his Son preach in English, and listening to some powerful preaching. We had a divine appointment with brother Mick Bowen, who shared with us how his Dad got saved, started serving in the church and became his greatest prayer warrior. After this testimony, I turned to my Dad and told him in French: He doesn’t even know you! God is good, and still in control of all the little details.
We moved to Gatineau in January; please note all the contact info has changed. I’m getting excited about starting the new work. I’m still amazed at the size of this city. I’m hoping to get things underway in the middle of May. This is also when Catherine will return from school and when a group from Connecticut is scheduled to come. We have already made some contact with unsaved people. We are also pleased with the commitment to help from Pastor Covey and the people of Carleton Baptist Church across the river from us. We are in the stage of getting things ready: hymnbooks, communion silverware, web site, church logo (below). Thank you for being there for us! We are dedicated to the cause of Christ more than ever.
In the harvest together,
Jacques for the family
prayer requests
1. In August of 2010, the Brind'Amour family suffered a tragic loss as Carole went to be with the Lord. She was a "vibrant wife and mother". Pray for their family (continue to uphold them to the throne of grace).
2. To sell the house in Drummondville.
3. David’s employment either in Ottawa or Gatineau; he is making progress as he just passed some important exam for the federal government.
4. To find a meeting place for the new church.
